Our Story

Chef Richard Luu founded and operates Richie Wich in 2022. He learned to cook at the age of 11 from his mother and has since worked as a sushi caterer, baker, cook, and chef at various establishments. Richard was briefly in the Marine Corps Reserves but realized his true passion was in the kitchen. He has worked as a Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Director of Purchasing, and Onsite Chef for various companies and helped open several restaurants/kitchens.

His inspiration for starting Richie Wich came from a client at a catering company who asked him to recreate a chicken sandwich from their favorite chain. After tasting the original and putting his own spin on it, the client loved it. Richard decided to start his own sandwich shop. He continues to work on his skills to improve his menu.
